Trinity-St. Lukes School
Our Philosophy
Our PurposeThe purpose of the Trinity-St. Lukes After-School Care program is to provide quality, Christ-centered child-care for children.
Enrollment PolicyAll children are welcome to enroll without reference to race, color, national or ethnic origin. Children in preschool through 8th grade may enroll. ProceduresIn order to be enrolled, parents or guardian must complete a contract and make payment for services requested. ExclusionsChildren may be excluded from enrollment due to the following:
Daily Hours and Collection of FeesThe After-School Care Program is open from 3:00-6:00 p.m. Mrs. Nancy Fischer is the coordinator. The After-School Care Program operates according to the yearly schedule of Trinity-St. Lukes Lutheran School with one exception. The After-School Care Program is open on early release days from 11:30-6:00 p.m. Please notify the coordinator if you will need to use this service. Fees are due each Friday for the following week. If a parent is late when picking up a child, additional fees will be due. ContractsParents are asked to complete a contract for the school year. If your needs should change, please give the coordinator two weeks notice and you must complete a new contract. Payment is expected for the hours requested on your contract whether your child uses the services or not. SnacksEach child must bring his/her own snack for after school. You may purchase a milk ticket for a drink or send your own. The children will have snack time right after school is over. Please be faithful in remembering a snack for your child. DisciplineThe goal of discipline is to teach. The school assumes the role of the parent/supervisor when the children are under its care. Discipline of children will be carried out in a God-pleasing manner. No physical punishment will be allowed. Preach the Word, be prepared in season and out of season; correct, rebuke, and encourage with great patience and careful instruction. (2 Timothy 4:2) Children who continue to be uncooperative may need to be dismissed from the After-School Care Program. MedicationAny student requiring non-prescription medication must bring the item from home and have written parental approval. Wisconsin Statutes require that if prescription or non-prescription drugs or medications are to be administered by a teacher or school employee, the coordinator must have written authorization from the parent or guardian.
EmergenciesIf a child is injured or becomes ill at school, the coordinator will care for the child temporarily and the parent/person to be notified on the Emergency Information Form will be notified. If the designated person cannot be reached, the coordinator may call the childs doctor if so indicated. If the condition is of a serious nature, your child will be sent to Watertown Memorial Hospital. Specific emergency instructions should be written out. Please contact us promptly if, during the school year, any information changes. |
